Pork Pie Percussion’s Big Black Snare Drum: Not just another “knockoff!”

Pork Pie Percussions Review!!!!

YouTube Video 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻

Hello to all my drummers and drum nerds alike. It has definitely been some time since I have put out a new blog and YouTube video.

As you all know, if you follow my other social media pages, life has been quite busy for all the right reasons.

I have been able to tech for amazing people, do some studio session, work production for versions live events and have been able to play on the weekend and sometimes week days for interesting gigs.

It’s been slowing down a little bit and with the extra time I had this past Monday I was able to finally do some very over due snare drum demos that will be coming out in the next couple of weeks.

Until then, I thought I would demo my fantastic 6.5×14 Black Nickel over Brass Pork Pie Percussions Snare drum aka Big Black of BOB. I have a Remo Coates Controlled Sound head with added Die Cast Hoops on it to dry it out just a little because this is my main church snare.

A lot of people consider this one of the many “knock off Versions” yet what people don’t know is that the Ludwig Black Beauty was not even the original but that a story for another blog.

Out of all the versions I have seen and tried out there of the well known Black Beauty this snare really fulfills all your needs. Additionally this comes at an extremely affordable at $330 but you can get them like I did for $150 😉🤘🏻. And I can guarantee you with a blind test you would not be able to tell the BOB from the Black Beauty!

Either way I hope this demo helps you hear why I love this snare so much and don’t have the need to get the $700 dollar version!

If you have any questions or you just think I’m wrong don’t hesitate to leave a comment for any reason 😀🤘🏻🥁🤓
